OUR MISSION

The Social Art Department's aim is to provide resources and community for artists and art lovers interested in social interactions as an art form.

We connect with professional performance and social practice artists in Chicago, sit down in conversation, and learn about different practices.

​

Collectively, we  brainstorm ideas for events around Chicago that acknowledge or meet a need of an individual or member's community.

 

We are currently based at SAIC and are planning to expand into the MCA.

 

We are open to all.
